A time to reflect. I started my journey very late and thought I would at least start and not worry about the deadline; however once I started I found I was enjoying the learning experience. When I was able to get to 14 with the long weekend ahead of me I decided to go for it. I kicked the children off the home computer Thurs till Sunday evening when I took our computer to the man who services it for me as I was unable to get into at all from home it would load blank page and go no further. I tried to get around this several ways eg. By signing into google first and also by right clicking mouse and send to blog (this also worked on the work computers but not at home) Oh well this part has been very frustrating as I have done all the work. I also had trouble in a couple of other sites but managed to work around this. I found my time doing these exercises very enjoyable and will go back to visit the ones I am interested in the most. I think our libraries and technology is just beginning and we will need to learn continuously to keep up with the public. I now look forward to any more of these if they are given and will make sure I start much sooner.

Technorati

I played with this site today and found it useful. It uses key words to in the tag areas to locate items. I think the key words need to be precise to avoid bringing up unwanted information. It had a good hot topics area.

13 Tagging, social bookmarking in Del.icio.us

This tool looks great for when you log into different computers. I want to listen to the tutorial but will need to do that at home as work is to slow and I gave up

12 Roll your own search engine

I created my Rollyo search engine and found this easy to use. I am learning many different tools and ways to retrieve information off the net.

11 A thing about Library Thing

I had already had a look at this site in one of previous learning items.
I thought this is a great idea and if you do want to catalogue your home records the price was reasonable

10 Dancing in Hawai Hula postcard

http://www.gohawaii.com/culture/hula.php

I played with several different image generators. I made a a post card at the above web address. I had a go at making a Christmas snow dome and also played on a few other sites.
This site I had fun playing with it was fun to do.
